Hi,

What do you mean by everything?

Have you checked your aerial is pointing the right way? You would be suprised.

Have you completed a full channel scan?

Have you set your TV to "Antenna" input mode?

Just a few suggestions there as I don't know what you have, haven't done.

All the best.

freeview boxes are not equipped to transmit hd you need a different type of box or wait until they produce freeview hd boxes

*Slaps Forehead* You're so wrong!

Firstly, he stated his TV was HD, not his freeview box, second, there are several HD freeview recievers available and have been for over a year - starting to become affordable now tho.

An HD freeview box will of course transmit HD to an HD tv.

Rant over.

@wfhr - Do as suggested and check all connections, ensure aerial is pointed in right direction and as silly as it might sound, make sure you actually scan for channels!

Good luck

It seems they have mis-informed you, there are freeview receivers that can handle HD that you can buy now, but what they probably meant to tell you was that there is no HD content on freeview, yet.

It's due around 2012, so not for a little while yet. Can expect these channels at least:
  • BBC HD
  • ITV HD
  • Channel 4 HD
  • Five HD (by end of 2010)

Not all of the Freeview HD dates have been made public/announced yet, but based on the information I can find, here is a rough set of dates for HD on Freeview:
  • Granada (Winter Hill transmitter) - 2nd December 2009
  • Wales, Scotland and the West Country - 2010
  • Central, Yorkshire, Anglia and Meridian - 2011
  • London, Tyne Tees and Ulster - 2012

It might be a simple cable issue, but do note that the Freeview channels had to move recently, so there was an issue of needing to retune.
