Default Is it Possible To do This

I know this is gonna sound really really stupid, But A friend Of mine Claims To Have SKY+ boxes in his Possession, He says He's Tweaked them Allowing you to use a virgin cable in the back to recieve the channels,

1) Is this possible...
2) how would i got accross setting one up

funky, tweaked sky plus boxes on cable feeds. niceone. if you get one, let me know, i'll buy the rest of them, all of them!

You don't need a telephone line to connect a Sky box if you want to view channels, you only need the dish connected.

Lol, whilst your here, may not be appropriate thread but, If i bought a Starview 4 instead would i get the same channels as starview 3.. Im based in Newcastle and keep hearing things like only getting 93 channels..

Yes you would and the signal level can contribute to channel loss.
