Default Do you like Vbulletin?

Well, I know that most of you use Vbulletin, however, I think it's really expensive because you should pay for it each year or otherwise you won't have free upgrades after the first year.

Do you think Vbulletin is good enough or it's only a well-marketed forum?

It's good, but imo it should be a one-time-fee. so just that $160 or how much is it.. and not every year again that sum of money.
But it's better as phpBB because it has more features and is more secure

Firstly phpBB is not more secure than vbulletin...it is more vulnerable to hackers! Also vbulletin should have one time fee only...even I second that thought! But if you can afford there is no replacement for vBulletin as the best forum to be used!

vBulletin is the best forum software but I think one should only buy it when he/she has firm beleive to run it smoothly otherwise it won't even give u back the purchase fee.

I prefer Vbulletin or IPB. I have used Vbulletin in the past with pleasant experiences.... I have a expired license that I may renew sometime soon.

Well the renewal fee is a real pain in the ass, otherwise, its the best thing money can buy for you. The features are awesome and the forums are very easy to use as well as manage

Vbulliten is cool, and its more widely used, but I prefer IPB.

It has a sleeker look and a better control panel IMO

vbulletin is a pricey though but i also can do the work, and I like it, paying for a license means you love your community and your membership like the admin of the community does to us, he only wants the best for us.

I hate vbulletin

Too expensive for my tastes, I go with whatever I can customize most.
