Managed to pick a acer 510 up for £180 , £250 most places and battery life of 7 hours so happy with it , thanks for the info pontiend

The 2 cheap netbooks I recommend are the Acer Aspire one or the Asus EEEPC 700 or 900 series The Acer has a better keyboard but the EEE PCs have much better battery life.
