Default which box?

Hi all,

This may be a daft question, but here goes.... I have recently had the very bad news that my Nokia Dbox2 is dead .... ( Blondsta now pauses for a minutes silence.........)
... so long old friend...sniff sniff.... anyway I need a replacement, and seeing as I have a HD telly I thought about getting a HD box, and as far as I can tell the only one available is the Eurovox Ex7000 (HD), now without starting a flaming/fanboy war should I leave the Dbox for a Eurovox, and if I do is it as easy to use as old faithful Nokky(sniff, still pretty emational .. sniff)?

Hi

The DW800 Kryptview HD is released and that is the box I would get over the eurovox 7000Hd, look up in kryptview section bits of info filtering out about it.....better support for the kryptview whereas eurovox tend to drop support.

If its a similar box to a dbox2 you want then there is a dbox3 (coolstream) thats out soon.

Ps: Whats gone wrong with your dbox2.

Regards

Hi

The dbox connector can be repaired to an extend, the part only costs around 99p at maplins.

Kryptview dw800 had pvr capabilites I believe via usb and if you google tailor-made circuits (Mash - TMC) where you can get from, price probably between £150 - £170.

Support is very good for the kryptviews and easy to setup and flash firmware on. Up till now they have been very user freindly boxes and think this would be along the same lines.

Dont think it has twin tuners but not sure about it.

Im torn between getting this now or hanging on for coolstream.

Regards
