Hi Everyone.
I'm really hoping that someone can shed some light on this problem as it's been plaguing me for a week already! I have a scientific atlanta 2100 with Haxorware 1.1 rev 32 running. I've read loads of really helpful threads on here with different suggestions of configuration, but I still can't get the thing past 'ranging' The wierd thing is, I've got another scientific atlanta 2100 (running infinite) and a virmin ambit 256 which both connect fine on the same coax cable. I've taken a telnet log of whats happening with haxorware... Code:
CM> Favorite[0].freq = 339000000

Looks to me like you're using the wrong upstream channel, it seems 2 & 4 don't work.
Try changing it to 0,1 or 3. Last edited by djbones; 22-09-09 at 10:29 PM. |

thanks for the replies sheeks and djbones
my downstream is locking to 339000000 consistantly but i've tried 0, 1 and 3 in the upstream channel field but it takes no notice and keeps trying to lock on to 2 and 4 having said that, it sometimes locks to DS 331000000 / US 18000000 Channel 1 for about 3 seconds and then starts ranging again! *doh* i'm starting to think that it might be something with the cabling. but as i said i've got a legit vermin modem that works fine lol. |

The best test you can do here is what I myself would do.
Take a backup of the nonvol of one of your working modems, and then restore it to the one that you are having problems with, and then see what happens. It's probably a setting somewhere thats screwed. Sometimes I've had it where all the settings *look* like they are OK and identical to the working settings but it just don't work! And then I use a nonvol backup from a working modem and hey presto! Operational! |
