With the cheap 64gb usb stick, I could only record literally 2 hours of media before I would experience exactly the same symptoms you speak of. So far so good with the External 500gb HDD though, and thats not even branded! I baught an enternal case (pretty sweet looking too for £9!) and sata 500gb internal drive (Samsung EcoDrive) for less than £45 delivered - bargain! ![]() You could try a branded usb stick (upto 16gb) as several friends of mine use 8gb or 16gb Kingston DataTraveller sticks without a problem, but of course, at the price they cost, why not do as I did and get more than 10 times the space for approx £5-10 more?

i brought mine form lincsat have had it for abit and every now and then when i trun it on from standby it resets itself i font know why it does it alot so i thought thats how the box is, but i recommend to anyone buy your stuff from lincsat his the only person i would truat to buy boxes from becasue i know if i emailed him about it he would sort it out but i am used to it and box works well because after resetting it comes on straight away, have had an issue with no subtitles tho and inkow other boxes give u subtitles especially on the asian channels but oh well must just be this box
