can the:technomate loader be inastalled by usb
are do i need the Null-Modem Cable

Getting your terms confused a bit.

The Technomate Loader is an application that runs on your PC. It is used to communicate with the receiver using the RS232 port on the PC. A null modem cable is thus required.

If you don't have an RS232 port on your PC you can use a USB to serial converter lead, so that you have.

For receivers with a USB port on them, the Loader is not needed for downloading software, as all you need to do then, is to put the software on a USB stick, and plug it into the receiver, and then make a few selections in one of the menus on the receiver (can't remember which but it is obvious)
