EX7000 Sept21st Beta Firmware

Rename file to flash.tbn and put in the root of a USB device and insert into box, on power up the box will load the new firmware.

Do a factory reset and delete all channels.

You can now rename and sort favourites on the box. You can edit the channel list with STBM, but not the favourites. This is still being worked on.

Subtitles are now OFF when switched OFF. Tested in Pure NTL, need feedback on other areas

Whilst on a channel, pressing EXIT displays the now and next 2 programs, pressing EXIT again should display the program description. This doesn't work in Pure NTL, need feedback for other areas please.

Thanks for this mate, quick question though..

Any specific time period for the above? I had been under the impression that the next firmware release, beta or otherwise would fix this issue..

Recordings I've made do come up with their name rather than channel in PVR.

I've found that recordings from the EPG get labeled with the channel name, whilst recordings by pressing the REC button, do correctly label the program.

This is a beta release to test the favourite and subtitle issues - they want feedback to see if they are on the right path, the coders don't have access to a VM feed and as VM don't 100% follow the DVB standard, a lot of the work is best guess

Any feedback yet, is it as expected for everyone? Please let me know your region eg Pure NTL, ex C&W or ex TW

Can I not backup my channel list and then upgrade and then put it back on?

Reason being, I want to test the firmware of course and provide feedback too, but if I cant get this channel order back on after the update, I'll need to do it when I have a moment to sort the list back out or the missus will do me over!

Just recorded a bit of 'Family Guy' from the EPG and it is named as such in the PVR menu and in the display on the front of the box.

Would it be best to do a deep scan or power scan once installed? Just wondering because of the previous issue with channels being duplicated...

i have tried it in pure ntl and could not sort fav's so i have put the 12/3/09 back on and all is well

Still waiting for my box to come but this update sound like its going in the right direction and should be make this box the top sellar out there for the future. (EX7000 HD limited stock get it while you can)
