Hi, i bought a TT 1501 dvb c card and having problems setting it up.
Can anyone tell me where to get the Transponder file for DVBViewer and where exactly it needs to be pasted to? (Im using Windows Vista 32 bit) I know im in a Pure NTL area and my frequency on Eurovox is 6887. Ive looked in the downloads section and got downloaded files all over my desktop and tried copy and pasting Transponder files into c/program files/dvbviewer/transponders but when i go to do a channel scan, China doesnt show up in the list just Austria, Germany and Kabel files. Also what needs to go in the Target Root search box ? Im using DVB viewer 4.0.0. VPlug 2.4.2. Also i cant get any versions of Dvblink for Dvbviewer to install, just returns errors. For example can anyone tell me what they did and what software used to get theirs working. Also my tuner isnt seen by Windows Media Centre in Vista. Any help would be appreciated as im going crazy trying to actually get this working. Cheers! |

Have you purchased your copy of DVBViewer? I heard that cracked versions of dvbdream cannot work? I use progdvb/ dvbdream and there is a transponder file for 6952/6887 in the private fta section under dvb-c

Windows Media centre has some problems with dvb-c cards in that they aren't really supported properly !
This may of changed recently but previously you usually required some kind of "shim" to fool media centre into thinking the card was dvb-t. Quote:
You'll probably have to set it up to use "BDA DVB-C" device or similar. Does the card work with the program that came with the card ? If it doesn't then you have a driver (or possibly hardware) problem. |

Hi, i have copied 500.ini, all.list,v_keys.db and bruteforce.ini (as im not sure which one im supposed to be using) into C/programme data/CMVU/DVBviewer/plugins and no extra transponders are showing up in the list in DVBviewer so am unable to do a scan.
Coder when i try to run Prog DVB i get 'cannot connect network provider' and 'device not started' and then windows closes it and cant go any further. Good news is i have got it working in a fashion with the crap TT software that came with the card and i am getting some fta channels with with a strong signal and quality bar. I had to input transponder frequencies manually one by one taken off my eurovox to get those channels to scan. Thing is there are too many softwares being mentioned and its a bit confusing. If someone could tell me exactly what transponder file and where it is (I am in the north east Pure 6887 area) and exactly where to paste it. And if ive made a bad choice of software in DVBviewer/DVBlink, could someone tell me which one they are using and what versions if it is working ok bearing in mind i am using Windows Vista 32bit. If i can just get to this stage i will be happy for now and could work my way up to the Vplug bit later. Cheers! |

Hi mate. If you're planning on using media centre via dvblink then i can absolutely reccomend dvbviewer as it seems to use less recources and is more stable than anything else i tried. My setup is perfect atm, im using version 4.0 of dvbviewer.
Im running it all in windows7 64bit. I believe in vista you will need to install 'tv pack' to get this working, im not sure though. First things first, sort the transpoder out and worry about vplug/dvblink later. The 500.ini is for dvbdream and the bruteforce.ini is for progdvb i think. They are both in the wrong format for dvbviewer, i had to alter a transponder file to get dvbviewer to pick up my channels. Dont put anything in the plugins folder yet, transponder files go in ..dvbviewer\transponders. |

It needs to look like
[DVB] 0=151 1=203000,3,6887 You can edit in excel easilly if you open and save the file as comma delimited, saves lot of time. I just threw one together just now. check your pms |

Cheers radoman. I got round most of the problems by switching to Windows 7, now ive got Dvbviewer and DVBlink installed ok, still having problems not finding any channels though! Does the dvblink server have to be started or stopped while im searching?
Sorry i know i sound thick but its the first time ive had anything to do with this subject! |
