any1 have a idea on how to unlock 6500 slide for free

You cannot get it done for free (you could buy the unlocker box but that's expensive) so you will have to take it to a shop. My mate took his to a local phone shop and they had to send it away, their are only two places in the UK that unlock the platform your phone is on - Manchester and someplace in Scotland.

dma unlocker will unlock that phone but sadly unavailable for sale to the general public. genie universal will unlock that handset available for about £250.00
or third option is to take it to a mobile phone unlocking shop who have genie universl and pay them between £20-£30... job done

uni box does do it, shop will charge 10-15 as long as it aint sl3 software,
if it is your looking between 15-25 depending on the shop

where are you based ??, i have a few unlocking tools, if you live near me maybe i can sort it if it isnt SL3

you need to plug it in to see what it is
if its fairly new then it will be sl3,
just take it to your local shop,
pay 10 quid and your done,

press *#0000# and it will tell you the firmware model
