i'm a little confused on the whole firmware issue, its seems that virgin move the channels to stop illegal boxes. even if i save the channells onto the pc and recconnect the box to the pc for those channels wont they not work still ? as those channels have been saved on the pc from the frequancy that they were transmitted on? which would have then changed hence needing to go back on the pc? Is there not software that i can upload that will automatically find the channells once virgin have moved them? without moving the numbers or place on the actual box. For example On the 1st Month Sky 1 might be channel 235 then once virgin move the frequancy my box displays a notivce advising there is no channel or that im not subscribed to this channel there for i would need to search for channels again, and when i do this i lose all favourites and then Sky one Would then be moved to channel 135. this happens to all channels. As for running a manual search this is something i will try if there is no other way of getting this done automatically?
