Default Can you get all channels through a basic sky subscription?

Hi

I have just moved to a new property which has a communal dish on the roof, in my previous address I had a basic Virgin tv package and was able to receive all the channels I wanted though my Eurovox max.

My only option for recieving tv in this new property is through sky via this communal dish as Virgin said there is no fibre optic possibility at the new address.

I am getting the basic Sky tv package today, will I be able to use my Eurovox to get the channels I was getting before via this signal?

I don't think this is a possibility, the Eurovox's decode the encrypted Virgin signal. The input that will be coming from the communial dish is likely to be SKy at best, and your Eurovox will not show the channels.

Thanks for the reply.

The only reason I wanted the Eurovox was to watch football. So my only option is to shell out for Sky sports and ESPN?

Eurovox's are for Cable providers only.
Satellite obvs for satellite providers.

Is there another box which will decode channels from a satellite feed?

Pay sky or do without. That is your choice.

Only the pathetic encryption used by the cable provider is open to abuse.
