Question Hellas Sat and Gamma card setup for Greek/Cypriot TV?

Hi all,
Ever since Virgin cut their analogue service (Hellenic Greek TV channel) my mum was going crazy without Greek TV. So she invested in a satellite setup:
- Fixed non motorised dish
- Technomate TM-3000 STB
- Receiving satellite 30HELLAS SAT 2 (39E)
- Receives approx 4-5 Greek/Cypriot FTA Channels
However she has now been told that Antenna Europe is moving and becoming a prepaid service.
I have read on the forums that a Gamma card can gain access, is this correct? If so what do i need to do?
I am willing to purchase a CAM/Card if need be and I already have a CAS3+ programmer.
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated and make a little old lady very happy J.

ant europe on hellas is not ant1 its a budget channel with put together shows from actual ant1 on hotbird its also the gamma only does irdeto which is the encryption nova use on hotbird the ant europe on hellas are using viacess and connot be hacked using a gamma so either you will have to move your dish to hotbird and buy a gamma card or buy an ant europe for a year which is only £100 i think for 1 channel

Hi Chris, thanks for the quick reply... im still quite a newbie at this stuff so please bare with me.

By what you said above am i right in saying that the Antenna Europe channel is channel a mix of several other channels?

If that is the case i would be just better off moving the dish to hotbird and buying the gamma card... but if i do that, what else do i need?

Does the gamma work as soon as i put in in the STB? or do i need to program anything? chip the box?

Thank you for you help

Yes you would be much better moving your dish to hotbird as you still get the rik ert and extra3 and also nova greece and cyprus. the gama is stable if you use it on one package at a time ie either greece or cyprus. you say you have a tm3000 well that is just for fta channels so you would also need a new box. cheap with just a card i would go for a 3500 usb or with a card and cam go for the 5400 but thats down to you they will both work with a gamma once patched. you can program your gamma with a cas 3 no probs

good luck
