Update:
Ok i tried dvbdream instead and vplug works fine!
My dvbviewer is a legit copy and is version 4.2.1.0 and vplug is the latest.
I install to c: program files\dvbviewer\plugins
It shows up in the about section of dvbviewer as vplug 2.4.2 dll but when i run dvbviewer nothing happens (no vplug icon)
What have i done wrong

As far as i can see youre not doing anything wrong, youre installing into the right place, its the same as mine but mine works fine, cant understand it m8!
All i can suggest is try using Version 4.0.0.0 Pro which is what im using and see what happens there!

just installed dvbviewer and vplug on my daughters laptop and it worked.
But it still wont work on my xp desktop.
My daughters laptop also runs xp.
Maybe it has something to do with having a previous cracked version of dvbviewer on my machine?

The version im using at the moment is cracked and working fine apart from I cant get the remote control to work. What i would probably do in your position is do a system restore to just before you started trying to install any of the DVBViewer and Vplug software and start again from scratch!

Have i installed it correctly.

ps: i have a vkey file already

Try installing vplug in C/documents and settings/YOUR NAME/application data/CMVU/DVBViewer/plugins and it should show up in DVBViewer!

sorted the problem with a windows re-install.
It seemed to only effect my pc's that had a previous cracked version of dvbviewer on them.
just gotta figure out how to get epg details in mce.
I have dvblink set to get epg from dvbviewer but it only show program name and not the full info in mce.

Thumbs up Re: VPLug 2.4.2 help

The microsoft guide listings contain most of the listings and correct channel numbers for virmin media. It can be configured using the dvblink config tool in mce extras.

On the page where you assign listings for the channels, it will by default assign channels by matching name from all listings from multiple networks.

From the drop-down menu select no guide services (something to that effect, been a while since i set mine up) which clears the current assigned listings. Then select virgin media from the drop down list. You will then need to go through the list and assign the channels which names dont match exactly i.e. "Sky 1" and Sky one". There will be a few channels that have no guide listings, leave them blank. They will appear at the bottom of the channel list, you can change the channel numbers later via channel properties in mce. The missing info will be grabbed from the stream.

Thats how i set mine up and i have full listings, info and correct numbering. Can be a bit fiddly but only takes 15-20 mins
