Default newbie after helpfull info

hi all, just about to have vgn basic all round package installed, friend advised me to maybe get a starview box,ive been looking at threads on this forum and noticed some one saying it is advisable to leave the vbox connected when using a other receiver box,as provider can tell if it is not connected, can anyone verify this for me,and if correct how do i carry out the above(warning;apologies now as have not got a clue with things like this,so any help much appreciated, thanks in advanced, jon)

The only reason to leave your box connected is so that a signal is still being sent to it. If Vermin see that it isn't plugged in, they will get suspicious and start asking questions won't they? The easiest way would be to cancel the box and get a modem installed, that way you have a cable feed you can split so you can connect the Starview along side.

Haha, it was sent to me by an ex-member of this forum. I thought it was quite fitting because of the face and "DOCSIS" word lol.
