Default Re: Recording non Freesat off a Humax Foxsat HDR

Thanks for the Update prompt which I've done and the blank screen shows U7.52

Unfortunately it doesnt help my problem. On 28E I get Freesat and Non Freesat but I still can't get 13E and 19E.

I can do a factory reset, do the seven colours then the Setup and Search on 28E then I
repeat the Setup in the Antenna section for 13E and 19.2E, then do a Search (scan) in the Manual Tune BUT as soon as the first channel is displayed its a BBC station and I know there is no BBC on 19E transponders, its got to be 28E, so it seems its not picked up the diseqc.

This is my boring routine for 19E
Antenna Satellite Setting
Tuner 1 Fixed
LNB Universal
22 khx Tone Auto (Greyed out)
Diseqc Input Diseqc A
LNB Power Standard
Transponder 10788 V 22000 A Save
( The system gives me 10788, I cant see why I cant input 10714 H to start )

Manual Tune
Satellite 19E
Transponder All
Network Search Disable
Scrambled Type FTA
Channel Type All 101 Channels Received Save

Strength is shown as 85% and Quality 100% both higher than when using the TM1500.
I removed the Humax and used the TM 1500 briefly just to confirm that 13E and 19.2E are available in the single cable from the 4into1 diseqc box.

So, does the above give you a clue as to my error, I feel I've missed something basic.

Just re reading Post 10 what do you mean by the word reinstall
Does it mean re do the setup and search routine?

My setup for Freesat gives me a screen Antenna Signal Detected and gives me Diseqc A
I'm using Diseqc A for 13E and 19E also. Is that correct?

Too late for a response. I've given up after 6 days of trying.

I'm using the TM1500 on a loop from LNB Out and I'm watching ARD on 19E, which is what I was expecting to get using the secret menu on the Humax.
I've failed and have re posted above.

The Foxsat HDR works well and gives me a great HD picture on our new TV and it does what it says on the box, but I could have got that with a cheap Freesat HD receiver.

Failed

You don't have your diseqc settings right.

Check your TM for which ports you have used and possibly set them the same on the HUmax

eg

28E- A

13E B

19E C

or whatever.

Every satellite has to be on a different port.

BUT!!

Also 28E must be connected to the 1st port of the switch for the Freesat mode to work, and possibly the non-Freesat mode too.

So you cannot put 19E on A.

Yes Id have to agree you havent got the disecq switching set up correctly, and all the satellite slots think they are looking at port 1 (or A) which must be 28E as that seems to be the default.

WOW I feel really stupid after reading your posts.

I could see on the Screenshot pics that the user had entered Diseqc B and it didn't dawn on me that I should have done the same.

Thanks to you two and to RayB

I forgot to mention, when adding satellites.
Make sure you save them, after the detection, then you can select them easily from the drop down list in non-Freesat mode.
Note:that the Humax Foxsat does have missing transponders in its lists, and from your earlier post,it seems that its still the case.
So add them manually, and again remember to save them,so they are added to the existing lists.

Hey daruba - we have all made daft mistakes at one time or another. It comes with the technology. And its easy to overlook something simple (especially if you are tired - Ive got caught out a few times over the years )
