Hiya, my name is Carole and I am new to forums, so please forgive me if I am in the wrong place to ask my question.
I own a Humax Foxsat-HDR and I need to know how to transfer recordings from the HDD onto a DVD. I am connected correctly, at least that is what the engineer told me when he left. Also the engineer told me before he left how to get HD on ITV, something about a combination of a two buttons on the remote , but I have forgotten wha he said, can anyone enlighten me on my two problems please. Thanks in anticipation. Carole. |

Hi Carole,Welcome to the forum. 1.To transfer your recordings, from the HDD to dvd.(see page 12 of the Humax Foxsat's manual) You'll need to connect the Humax Foxsat HDR via a scart cable(from the VCR scart socket)to the Dvd recorder scart socket marked (stb/vcr/decoder/line in/line 1/2/3/AV1/2) ,depending on your specific model, check your dvd's recorder's manual. If your dvd recorder has a HDD,as well, then best to record on to the HDD,edit any unwanted bits and then record to dvd,if its recordings you want to keep permanently. 2.Secondly to watch ITV HD,you need to press the RED button, when you get the prompt on ITV 1,like in the photo below, which will then launch ITV HD. To record from ITV HD,check the epg,and the programmes to be shown in HD will be marked as HD,in the information box and you'll get the option to chosse to set a timer recording in standard definition or High definition. Just want to say THANK YOU for the great advice on this site
![]() I got a FOXSAT HDR last week and was able to install it last night as follows: 28E C 13E B 19E A With FreeSat on C. Got the full EPG on the FreeSat channels, and Now/Next on the non-FreeSat channels. So, maybe the firmware has been updated, since this thread is old, but in anycase you it means you CAN have 19E on A. |

No, it is not. Not sure if one of the CAMs like a Diablo or whatever would allow that.
