Default Eurovox 1100 usb epg

Hi guys, I've got the new eurovox 1100 and was just wondering if anyone else has got issues with the epg? It does not update at all and you have to "force" it by entering the epg menu before you can get any information on what you are watching.

Again, is there just the one firmware or hopefully there is a newer version that hopefully sorts this out? Is it possible to flash it with the sl1000 firmware since the only difference is the pvr function. The sl1000 firmware has got a very good epg update and was wondering if this could be an interim solution?

Thanks for your help

Depending on the area you live alot of people are having issues with the EPG. Midlands and lancashire are having problems there may be more areas.

You will just have to wait for a firmware update to resolve the issues.

I'm in nottingham so I guess thats why I am affected. I am however starting to think this new box has too many issues. Compared to its predecessor, the picture quality is bad, slow epg or none at all on some channels and to make matters worse I'm getting "slot 0 card in, slot 0 card out" intermittently on the screen till whichever channel I'm watching completely freezes. I dont think it is reset issues cos I have done so and it has not changed a thing. Other on this forum and other forums have got the same issues as well. I hope there is a new firmware out shortly to sort all these out.

Has any1 got solutions to these problems at the moment anyway???

I've also started to get a slot in and slot out message repeatedly on sky sports 2 and it started freezing but it's just stopped at the moment and I'm having the same issue with the EPG.

I'm getting exactly the same issues m8. I'm starting to think we got this box tto early and shoulf of waited till there is an updated firmware cos as it is there is only the one released on September 8 or 9 which does not address the issues. Its frozen on me nearly 8 times today!!

I think I might take a hammer to it before the end of the week!!!

There is an update dated 09/11 which fixed he "slot" problem. It also made the EPG better for a lot of people but its still not perfect.

I am still getting the channels "flicking" but I am sure work is being done on this to sort it out.

Once the next update is available, hopefully things should be ok.
