British Airman

Two British airmen were shot down over the desert in North Africa during the war, both survived the crash but they were miles from anywhere.

After crawling through the sand for days, dehydrated and delirious, they eventually chanced upon a bedouin market stall. Water , Water they pleaded with the Arab, but he only shrugged and said, "sorry, I only have Jelly". A bit put out, the two airmen struggle on in search of water. Soon they come to a second stall and again ask the Arab merchant for water "sorry, I only have custard" he replies.

At their wits end they continue on until they come to a third stall, again they plead for water but the merchant replies "sorry, I only have whipped cream".

Dismayed the two airmen struggle on, one turns to the other and says, "don't you find that a bit wierd"? The other replies "yes it was a triffle bazzar".
