Hi

I have a K770i. Once I put the '3' sim card in, it says inactive sim. I can't make a phone call etc.

What does it mean? Is there any chance that I can get it fixed?

The phone may be locked. Have you tried any other sim cards?

It doesn't accept other sims as it was on '3' network only.

Sounds like it's barred then. Is this an ex-contract phone of yours? If so, ring up 3 and ask them if they can unblock it for you.

I just bought the phone on Ebay - the seller did mention that when the sim card was inserted - it would say inactive usim.

Is there anyway I can unlock this phone on any other network? Or even get it unbarred.

Will this phone work outside the UK?

in active sim usually means it hasn't been used for a long time and has been disconnected. normally to keep a sim active you have to make a call or send a text every 6 months.

you could try another 3 sim card.

Tried another 3 sim to no avail.

did it come up with same message, and was the sim card you used currently working in another phone.
