Default Starview super and old sky connection

Hi guys,

I have moved into a flat where the old resident had Sky+ and has left me the box.

I was going to get Virgin installed though as I believe its easier to pay for the basic channels then get the rest free with a card than it is to get free channels with Sky. However Virgin might not cover me for Broadband so they may no longer be an option - I await confirmation.

In the mean time I've been looking into 'chaipping' Sky+....

I just found out about this StarView Super box but from the few mentions I found of it here it seems like it doesn't work very well with Sky - can anyone confirm this?

Cheers

no mate. these boxes are for cable only. sky is out of the question. people have been trying to "chip" sky boxes for years, i dont know of any and doubt if they ever will. no vermin = no s/view. but you never know!!!!!!!
