box key help. I have IRD i think - Techwatch Support Forums: Digital & Satellite TV, FTA, Cable, Computers, Mobile Phones, Apple and General Tech Forums

Hi, Can anybody help. A freind has given me this box to try and do but the codes are not on the bottom. I have the IRD by looking in the nagra code in the engineers menu as learnt from here,

I'm new to this so don't know how to get the Box key. The box is a v+ scientific Atlanta 8300DVB

those boxes with out paired card are useless m8.

i do have a card for the box but the box key on the card was wrong as it doesn't work.

I can read the dard fine in nagra edit and i'm sure if i copied the info from my card to this card and changed the IRD and Box key then it would work. I'm very new and hope it'll work anyway. ha

oh well never mind eh. Don't think my mate will be happy though as he paid someone to chip it for him and thinks they've messed it up.

you could check with the person who done it originally to see if they have the bk

if the BK starts with 6D56 then it is a fake BK, otherwise make sure you write the BK and IRD the way they should be in mosc card i.e IRD goes backward but the BK stays the same and update the dates and rights m8.

i don't have the bk code. the IRD is silly billy i think thats changing it to hex and reversing it.
