Default Erase SB5101e Flash

I am having trouble with a SB5101e with an ST chip , I have the back up flash i created , I have tried several times to back it up using toms and blackcat software but keep getting write errors straight away , if i uncheck verify data flash still doesn't take.

Is there a way i can erase the full flash before i flash ? , If so what commands would i use with toms / blackcat

Thanks in Advance
