Whats the model No? If it's a 4001 could be caps as in tune guides. Also try swapping the Cim can from working box in case its that-they can get cracks in the can where the FPlug screw connector meets with the board.

Yes the metal removable can at back-try it as said they sometimes crack at joint and cause freezing.4001s are the biggest pain in the arse of a box i've come across-some come out of tune when the caps are changed-the 2 C323 & C325 are the ones to replace if your signal(snr) is around 19-20dB. You can test these a bit by going into engineers menu and see what the snr is-if its around 19/20 apply a bit of heat with lighter or solderpro with hot air blowed to the 2 capacitors and if it is them you will see signal rise to 30+.

SNR is too low to get any updates-you will need 27/28+ if not more. Try swapping the Cim tin at back with the working one you have to and see if it goes up-you can rule it out if it doesn't, if not as said try heating the 2 caps 323&325 and see if they raise the snr. There are loads of problems with these boxes so a bit of trial and error-I found that some come out ok and some do nothing no matter what. Are you testing on same feed by the way? Could be bad connections if on different cables(say in different rooms)so worth trying on a feed you know is good
