as title above has anyone had a problem with 7mce, where if your watching something (a recorded tv show, downloaded file or timeshifted tv) that if you skip any part of it it it gets all messed up and freezes on screen and you have to restart mce to get it to work
fo example i recorded a tv show last night and went to watch it today went to skip the advert as soon as i pressed skip forward which used to work fine it skips forward then freezes This used to work correctly untill saturday im also using the default microsoft decoder and not made any changes in software firmware or hardware |

AMD Processor?
I read the other day that they have released the "Dual Core Optimizer" for Windows 7 - I remember that I had this installed on XP to resolve skipping and sync issues. |

you might be right there and it is a AMD
although i never had trouble before but i did install it and had to do a system restore so it could be one of 2 things either i needed it and the restore i did was before i installed it or it was the actual install that messed it up ill have a play and see what happens |

im not using dvblogic just using the floppydtv
i have found that win7 is a lot more stable than vista ever was it seems to me like a massive improvement and it doesnt feel as bloated or sluggy another good thing about 7mce is that the microsoft default decoder is a massive improvement on the vista one and gives IMO a better picture than pure video and power dvd decoders granted there isnt really anything (tweaking wise) you can do with the microsoft decoder but then again you don't really need to personally i would reccomend 7 and 7's media center to anyone over vista or XP another good thing about 7 is that its built on vista so there isn't that many un-compatable things because generally vista drivers work too the interface in 7mce is also more pleasing on the eye than vista overall it looks like its the first time for a long time that mico$oft got something right |
