SmartFTP problem - Techwatch: Satellite TV forums, FTA, Cable, Hardware, & Tech forums

A few days ago I installed SmartFTP but now as soon as I hit connect, It gives Runtime Error and after pressing OK, the program ends. Does anyone know how to fix it? TIA !!

Why don't you try another program for a ftp. A free one is ftp commander. Or you can re-install that program. Sometimes they don't download right.

here are some runtime errors that I found on smartftp, i also have that but I still use the old version of ws_ftp;

i prefer ftp commander though im not really experienced at webmaster yet.

Thanks weblord, I uninstalled the program and then reinstalled it. It is working fine now. SmartFTP is only 30 days trial. I'm looking for a lifetime free one. Is FTP Commander a completely freeware?

yes ftp commander is freeware, there are other freeware ftp clients to choose from:

Another freebie is Coreftp lite.

It's the only one i've ever got to work consistently
(maybe it's just me)
