Anyone got a schematic to build one of these, just got 2x 256 modems today and dont fancy the time it will take when ordering from ebay rather just go to maplins and buy the bits and pieces I need.

Hey guys,

So I ended up buying a programmer and soic clip from ebay but im having some issues with the software that comes with it. I can id the device and read the firmware and erase the firmware but when i open the haxorware dump and click program the software locks up

The program stays like that no matter how long I leave it. I installed the spi programmer driver and the lpt port io drivers and set the lpt port in the bios to 378/LPT1 and ECP+EPP.

also when i connect power to the programmer none of the led's display on the programmer or modem which i find odd. The guide I have says I do not need to connect power to the modem just hook up the programmer only is this correct?

If any one can help please do

im close to pulling my hair out :P

Ok turns out I had the wirs connected the wrong way to the clip now the programmer shows a red led when it powers on. When I erase the flash the second led blinks green during the process. But again when I go the program the device it the software just freezes up and the green and red led's are both solid.

anyone know whats up?

thats because u cant flash haxoware to the origanol chip u can only change the mac addy

any guides for changing the mac around anywhere?

ok this was really retarded of me but i didnt backup the orignal fw on the modem before i flashed haxorware to it, anyone know where i can find a ambit 256 fw dump to flash back
