Default Some help please

Hi everyone...

I just redone my 5100i with the SB5100MOD.
I know the MAC is good as its a friends , who is across on another UBR.

Now, when connected in my house, i cant get it to lock to the DS or range to the US.
But when connected to a friends cable line, its perfect, locks on ect.

So i then go back to my house, and again wont lock on
Reading posts, ive telnet into the box ect

Any ideas please.

If it won't lock on to the DS, I think you're using the wrong frequency m8.

DJBones

The thing is, im getting the downstream frequency from my subbed modem, which is 339000000 and uptream is 254000000.

I fogot to mention though, at times it will lockto the DS, but fails to ranged with upstream, then after about 10minutes, it cycles and looks for the downstream again.

Thanks for the reply

Rich

If the US won't lock you could try changing the upstream channel. It's either 0,1,2,3 or 4. It should change itself but sometimes doesn't.

There is an option to change it on the 'Frequency Settings' page in the html page.
