I'll try and put an end to this gossip although i'm the same as most, not completely in the know but generally have an idea.
The general concensus is that vermin will not go NAG3 but IPTV,yes it will happen in the future but when nobody knows for sure.
When it happens the opinion is that all 3rd party boxes(euros,sv etc)will be doomed at least for a while if not altogether
If your in Ireland nag 3 is or will be implemented so free tv is or will be very shortly over.
The timescale for it happening in the UK is unknown, could be today could be 2 years but my guess is as soon as they start implementing it this will be one of the first places to find out so keep yer eyes peeled.

very good sherlock, I didnt check other threads. Heard about this elsewhere this morning and thought the kind and helpful people of Techwatch will be able to advise me further but lo and behold I get YOU

as for sacremongering; why would I do that?
Ive had nothing but good advice from the decent folk on here and know very little about the technical side of things.

now away back to bed and try getting out the other side little miss sunshine

True, but you can make some damn good guesses by simple observation. Everything is tested somewhere long before general release so by observing those tests you can often predict whats about to occur with a reasonable level of confidence.

Clearly the original poster has no idea about any of that, where he is concerned its pure speculation and brings nothing new to the table
