Default Hello, Just got my box! Scrambled channels issue.

Hello everyone... i have been following the forums for last month or so reading up on the eurovox.

i bought the ex5100 from lincsats website, and it came today! (great service)

i am having some issues though...

ill tell you my situation first...
New Virgin Media customer (new house) suscribed for internet and basic tv package.
Newcastle under lyme area

i have unpacked and followed lincsats instructions. i left the symbol rate alone as i didnt know what it was and thats at 6.952

it went through the installation, and i have got all the channels on it now... but when i click on the channels they all come up with

Information
Scrambled Channel

i can get regular channels 1-5
but thats it

anyone know a solution
????

cheers guys

You'll need to flash it with the latest firmware m8.

Would have thought Lincsats stuff is pretty much up to date firmware wise.

Leave it on 1 of the premium channels (Sly Sports 1) and let the box aquire the latest keys automatically. Can take anything from 30secs to a few minutes.

There's a post somewhere by Lincsat about the firmware on boxes he supplies, his policy has changed.
I think you'll need a null-modem cable.

Not sure about the ex5100, but this is how i do my Max v..

press Menu on the remote and you will see Language settings..press OK

Now press 1968

Check that the Emulation is set at Enable, now press Exit Exit

Go to Sly sports 1 and let the box update, this could be 5/10 minutes

Jay

PS im sure Linscat boxes have upto date software on them?
