Default Starview 4 USB recording query

hi

have just recently got a starview 4 and it is all working fine just have a query about recording on it.

I recorded a 2 hour program on my 4gb usb pen (nothing else was on the pen) and it only got to just over an hour and then ran out of space. Is this normal or are there any settings I can change to make it use less space.

Any help would be appreciated

The starview 4 uses a variable bit rate for the recording so the duration you'll fit on your 4GB memory stick will vary.

As a rough guide, 1 hour of recording could use anywhere between 1.5GB to 2.2GB depending on what it is you're recording.

There's no option to alter the bit rate or recording quality that I know of.

Best to use an external hdd but only upto 300gb, it also needs to have it's own power supply
