Channels gone down

Hey guys, got a bit of a weird problem

Sky Sports News, Sky Sports 1, Racing UK, Sky Family have all gone down. There are there but not picture showing.

Everything else is fine. Rescanned a couple of times, also they arnt in the same transponder or anything.

Any ideas?

Dunno, I would try another image.

Best thing to do is change the image.

Plenty of reading on the forums on how to do it. TwinTowns new one looks v.good!

a few people have had this problem and had to flash a new image

drop twin town a pm for his new image...its superb

you can read a lot of stuff on here about other images freezing etc...and this is a lot more stable

had the same problem, tried a few scans but no joy - had an old sportster image.

Just flashed with a new command image (11.3) - and backed up the old service/bouquet files.

works a treat now

hi m8 it sonds like u got signal problem if u are useing splitter then it might be worth connecting your box directly to the line without any splitter to see if a stronger signal helps with picking it up.

I have a similar issue. EPG shows all previous channels but get "error no channel". Using a full scan deletes all those that no longer function. They just do not get found. I then tested a friends box and his worked on my line so the signal seems to be fine. I then made a backup image of the friends and transferred that to mine and get the same issue. His image and mine were very old sportsers. Some channels although displayed on epg do not function. Will the new TT image resolve this ?

Well why not give it a try, its a cracking image. If you can save your services.xml then save before reflash just in case you need it.

Tried both the new commando image and TT version. Copied over cams and stuff and reset my boquets and services but whilst i get all the channels on the epg listed, a handful come back as error "Channel not available". I'm guessing it could be power fault or something similar as reported in some other threads with similar messages although none have confirmed it.

So you have copied over the "real magic files" as they are fta images. Are you getting any premium channels, if you are on the channels that are erroring check the ber snr and sig levels and post the readings, probably a sig issue maybe in need of a booster.
