Default programme rom 7 card

hi all can any 1 explain how i write an image to a rom 7 card using xncs because i have only ever used nagraedit but just been knocked off with 3.7 so all i got is an open rom 7 mosc please how do i reprogramme it

Just a case of reading the card, modding the image and writing it back.

I suggest you consider one thing: Make sure the card does not update to 718 once you write it as there is no public script for this. Suggest the cyclebyte mod is best for now.

XNCS also has a bug where is sometimes fails to write the card correctly and sometimes leaves a ghost provider on the card - UK boxes complain about this (this is why some mistakenly believed ROM7 mosc did not work in some boxes...)

iv just wasted a rom 7 rev 704 which is now rev 718 trying to get one working,

iv one rev 704 left and want to get it right.

When you write a rom7 make sure you UNTICK:
"ghost must be in eeprom"
"always install ghost"


The cyclebyte is the byte @ $E050 on rom7. It is this value that is checked by each update emm to determine if that emm needs to run. If you use an unused value, or the correct 718 value the card will not update.

edit:

Also there is a risk that if an unused cyclebyte becomes active from a new rev update that corruption can occur (as the card isnt in the state it claims to be).
