Default Old Sky dish for FTA?

I got SKY+ recently, and I was wondering if I can take a feed from the new LNB to the old Skybox to receive the FTA channels?...and if so ,why do Sky ask for £30 for a card?

Yes, you can, the card just gives a handful of extra channels and channel 4 and channel 5 appear in the EPG. Can't remember what the extra channels are, something like Fiver, Five USA, Sky three, and maybe a couple of others.
