There are rumours sky 's encryption was hacked or on the way to being hacked nothing more. There is absolutely no evidence that NDS Videoguard had actually been compromised.

Anyway switching the cards also means that any work done by the hackers id for nothing and they need to start again

The NDS encryption algorythms are vastly more complicated than those used in the ancient and crap old system that VM uses.

However, VM subsctibers will soon find out what a nice secure encryption system looks like when Nagra 3 is introduced

From rumours over in the cable section could be early next year in some areas.

Dunno - go and read about it over in the cable hacking section

PMSL - that wasnt a channel hack

It gave you the ability to change the menu colours . Big deal.

And apparently gave you the sky+ recording function which would have been a bit more interesting.

Hi Guys,

I'm new here so please be gentle. I live in Bulgaria and I have a technomate 5300d+ with a sky patch. I have an old card from a "friend" in the UK who has now got his white card. He had the full sky package and I am recieving this here. any ideas how long I'll get away with using the card, or is my opinion that "if you are plugged into the network or a phone line the only way sky can trace these cards so therefore you will be safe for ever"?

Also will any HDD once formated work as a PVR

Thanks all

Sorry mod if this is the wrong place to post this question.
