Default Cable Splitter Problems ...

Hi, a while ago i posted on here about whenever a new page loaded on the internet it would cause inteferance with the Eurovox.
I bought a new splitter and wires from Ebay and it sorted it, So i assumed it was faulity cable wires.

Anyways my Internet is playing up again, This time my Eurovox is perfect but my Broadband is not working. The RDY light that usually stays on for the Internet to works keeps falshng on off on off on off and the Inet is not working but my Eurovox is getting channels fine so after changing back to my old wires etc with no joy. I changed the splitter around with the an old splitter i still kept hold off, And the Internet as come back on again but when i load up a new internet page it is interfering with the Eurovox again causing it to jump and freeze untill the inet page as loaded up. So it was my old Splitter that was causing the interference with the Eurovox and not the old cable wires.

So with one Splitter i am getting both my Eurovox & Internet but whenever a new page loads on my internet the Eurovox freezes, But with my other Splitter(the newer one) I am getting the Eurovox perfect but my broadband is not working. They are both just 2 cheap 2 way splitters.

Funny thing is though, That when i first bought the 2nd splitter it was working perfectly. I had the Eurovox and the Internet fine without any interferance or crashing what so ever, Then after about 2 weeks the Internet just went off whilst i was browsing and won't work since it went off on its own( to the RDY light on the broadband box flashing on and off)
But with the older splitter i am getting the Internet back on but its interfering with the Tv constanly when a new web page is loading. I can't win eitherway ha ha.

Can a splitter just break or is there some thing wrong with the Signal i am recieving?

Default Re: Cable Splitter Problems ...

I have just had the exact same problem.
What was funny is that the splitter provided by VM has 2 labels (one says broadband the other says cable)
Interestingly when I swapped them around the broadband worked fine but the tv did not.
It is almost as if only half of this works at a time.
Do I need to amplify the signal or perhaps I need a different splitter (I see lots of stuff about specifications of splitters) I wonder if this is related

If anyone can help me or Eagles that would be great

Thanks

Hi mate i sorted mine. Are you having a problem where everytime a web page loads it cause's the Eurovox to jump and freeze. Which was happening on mine but i sorted it by buying a reverse path noise blocker and that as sorted it for me.

This is the one i bought: VIRGIN CABLE TV conditioning filter Noise Blocker on eBay (end time 15-Dec-09 23:06:26 GMT)
