Can't see why a clone would not power the motor, you will be OK, so let us know when you get your gear. Remember it is vitally important that you have your pole vertical, if not your dish will not tract the arc right and you will not get the best reception that you can from all the satellites.
Regards Wez

Poor quality power supplies & mobo components.
Nanochikin had an Eagle clone for a while and he had terrible problems with it. Even upgrading the power supply didnt help

Some of his comments about the Eagle were highly amusing
![]() Some of the more printable ones should be in the forum archives somewhere.

what do you guys think about the openmedia then? as in the specs it says "can power a motor unlike a 500S" I read its something to do with the internal PSU or something? Also, my sat setup isnt setup yet, so I wouldnt know

I hav'nt got around to trying my 500s on my stab90 yet. Will be soon though.
According to the book the stab do'es 1.5 deg/s at 13v. max consumption 350ma The 500s power brick delivers 12v at 2A max.So 1 volt short but plenty of current. So if it runs the motor it will probably turn slower. PS Just guessing.

All satellite receivers actually have to supply 18V to the LNB as well, otherwise they would not be able to switch the LNB to horizontal polarisation.
The problem is one of current anyway, some of these boxes just have not got enough juice.
