The guides on here are pretty generic and work with all recievers. you might have problems if your box is a clone as alot of the clones wont drive a motor. if there is something specific you are having problems with just ask

Have you tried to drive a motor with it ? You could go for a multi lnb setup if your wanting to view several sats. Perhaps if you could provide abit more info like dish size, location, and what you want to be able to watch we can help you more.

A multi lnb setup works by having several lnb's alligned to differant sats on a fixed dish. these then connect to a DisEQC switch before the reciever. a good example would be 13e 19e and 28e on one dish. this would certiqanly be possible on a good quality 80cm dish.

sitja you need to put your latitude and longitude into the box to get the usals to work. You need to have your pole absolutely plumb to use a motor. If you can I would suggest that you set up your pole low down, that way it is very easy to work with it. If you are still interested in setting up your system let me know and I will try my best to help you with it. Please let us know where your pole is and where you are located, your nearest city is enough. We need to know your location to be able to advise you which satellite you need to set your dish up on. because you have to set it up on the satellite nearest to your longitude. If you lived in or near London then it would be Thor @ 1 W.
Regards Wez

Hi you need not worry about these things all is very simple and straight forward. The power for the motor is supplied through the coax cable, The coax is connected to the motor and then a short lead goes from the motor to the LNB. I do not have my 500s at the moment so will need to get it back before I can give you the correct information as to how you go about setting the box up, but it is very simple and easy to do. I have a dreambox 7025, but it is very different from the 500. A friend has my 500s but I can get it from him soon.
Best wishes Wez
