I've just switched over to a flashed motorola 5101 with Haxorware 1.1 rev 32. I am legit. paying for the 10 meg service, but looking to try to increase my upload speed.
My settings confirm the nic is spoofed as I'm going through ethernet and my HFC Mac and USB Mac have the 1 digit difference. I've checked my broadband speed at broadband.co.uk and it records as 9.07Mbps and upload at .47Mbps, however when I run my utorrent, my download is coming in at 1.1m and upload at around 55-60kbps. Is this accuracte? Is there a setting that I have missed, or would this be due to the capping on the particular mac address I am using? Also, I notice that my IP address is still the same as the one I had prior to changing over to the new modem. Is this also normal, or have I missed something? Should the IP address also change, or be changed. Any help you can provide would be gratefully received. |

Looks ok to me mate, your speed test was measured in bits, & your torrent is in Bytes.
9.07 Megabits / 8 = 1.13 MegaBytes Have you cloned your subbed modem?

If its the local net address (ie 192.....) assigned to your PC by a router then that would be perfectly normal. To get the external IP you would need to look at the router setup pages (or visit a web site like whatsmyip) |

Thank you Leeds for the update on the speed. I misread the b as B (wishful thinking I guess!)
TheCoder - Any idea how I might have cloned my ip address? I don't have a clue. I was expecting that to automatically change when I went from my old modem to new. I changed my mac address and respoofed the nic, but it's still showing as the original ip address. |
