Default Hacked accounts

Obviously we've had issues with accounts being hacked the past few days, not least because of the WizardMods forum being hacked - which means members of both sites using the same login details could have their account compromised here.

First things first - if there's any danger you think of your account having been compromised here, then pelase use the change password setting in your profile.

Secondly, any sign that an account has been hacked will result in that account being suspended immediately to protect the interests of the original poster. Any IP's used to hack into a member's account will be banned immediately.

Here's the problem - it's been reported to me that some members of TW have decided to hack into other people's accounts for fun.

Let me make it clear that this is entirely unacceptable, and any member proven to have compromised any other member's account will be banned.

Additionally, anyone who logs into another account using their IP risks their IP being banned, so don't expect me to be sympathetic if mucking about with other people's profiles finds you blocked from using Techwatch in future.

I shouldn't have to say any of this because it should all be common sense, but because some people have been silly buggers I want to make the position of the TW staff very clear on this.

Whats the point looking at the list ?

You have no idea whether thats a full list, a partial one or even an edited one.

If you were on WM and were stupid enough to be using the same password elsewhere then ASSUME that your account details are known regardless of whether its in the list or not !
