Default Need favour from someone in area 40961(Bradford/Leeds)

Seeing as though libby isnt working for me-and Ive screwed up two receivers now -See here how to use libby
Was wondering if I could ask someone in the area code 40961 to do some jtagging on their own receiver to retrieve a macro for me to use. I definitely need someone who knows what they're doing and someone who has a Pace 4000. I will obviously pay for this(£15), seeing as though it does take some effort in soldering and its not like just updating fw

Ideally, I would like someone who can do this quick, as I plan to do a bit of experimenting then to sell the receiver off-its the only reason I bought it(experimenting ) as I am in need of cash

scart>serial I dont see how a max232 would work unless it needs solder?

G77 where would I find a max232 where I could solder the wires instead of the normal max232's that come with a wire with 4 solderless points? I saw your thread here Can i set net id with a fun di4000 ?

I looked in novice angel and I need to go and buy some vero board according to p.11?

I take it Ill need this equipment:
eBay item:110449208727(Max 232 CPE Max232 Replacement IC)
eBay item:120392395788(50 electronic capacitors 10uF 16V) 50's a bit excessive I know
eBay item:300353244421 (Vero board)
An RS232 from somewhere-Cant see any
Some wire? Dont know what to get

Is there anywhere where you can get this pre-set up?

if the max 232 your on about fits on top of a header in a modem all you need is a header (from a 256 where it isnt needed or a brick) and stick the header in it. solder your four wires from the back end of the header (now on your max232 lead) and solder the other ends into the box.

if you have a bit of vero board.... take a header out of a modem, solder it on to the vero. then take 4 wires off the vero to the box.

this 'header with a bit of vero mod' comes in handy for all sorts of applications.
