Why people are always moaning about Sky I don't know, they are a very successfully business. The last word being the key.

I wounder what Mr Branson would be saying if Virgin had the biggest market share??

Its just a very bad case of sour grapes.

And if you were in Mr Branson's shoes you'd behave differently then I assume?

A single business providing a service with no proper competition is not a good thing for consumers the way I see it, as apart from disconnection there is no way to avoid getting shafted if service reduces/ prices rise etc.

Probably because Sky continue to ignore various EU directives and seem to be allowed to get away with it without consequence. The UK does not seem interested in applying these regulations to Sky (I'd say the government is actually scared of what Sky might do if confronted because of the virtual monopoly they have).

Very few other companies would be allowed to act as Sky act !

And to much choice is not necessarily a good thing ether. All it brings is confusion. There are quite a few energy suppliers out there but do you really get a choice in what you pay? Can you really imagine that if there were more platforms out there they would all carry every channel you wanted? Most people are perfectly happy with Sky if they have it. Would having to have a dish, a cable and an aerial, with 2 or 3 satellite boxes, a freeview box and a cable box really make things better???????
