is it possible to connect these so i can watch the films i have got on my hard drive?

Certainly is mate depending on what connections you have. If you have got an s-video out on your laptop and s-video in on your tv your away. If you havent got an s-video in on your telly have a look around if you have got one on a dvd/video recorder that will also work.
