Default starview 1 problem

hey guys, my gave my mate a starview 1, fully working a few months back, now he has phoned and said it aint working so i went over and got it, brought it bk and tried it, now it comes on and one little line goes over then over again asif its loading but stops, then i turned off n back on then done it again but then went to 0, i dont know if he has been unplugging and plugging back in every night and fooked it, is there a quick way to fix this?? thanks

If you look on the power board you will see a blown cap replace this and it will work again for you

I think its c21 long time since i done one but if you look on top where the X is you will see it bulging up

Caps are available in maplins or bring it to your local tv store

as clio1 states blown cap

but replace cap with 16v not 10v

capacitor m8 make sure you fit the correct way if this is the problem there is a + and - on cap

hey guys, well ive took the board out and looked at it and c12 has a little bulge on it and was abit like rusty asif leaking, now c11 and c21 are fine, any ideas? also i have bought a 1000uf 10v cap

it is C21 that is bulged up, just replace it with a 1000uf 10v capacitor ??
