HI All
Can someone there help me on Euro-Vox Max box which is Blue box. I had this box for over two years and has worked well. On monday this box went down. All i get is two green dots in the middle of the display and nothing else.I tried turning it off & on from the mains and also pulling the plug and wait few mins before pluging back on. |

its normally the c14 cap or jtag (I'm not familiar with either)
it will cost nothing to try to reflash whilst doing black button reset inside the box is a black reset button leave power off the box and start the firmware download whilst holding the black reset button down put power to box then release button and hopefully the firmware update will start be careful, use something insulated to hold button down when powering up |

if the procedure didn't work (you did try a few times) I think it will more than likely be the c14 but may need jtagging
have a look at this thread, there's also a pic of the c14 Dead Eurovox EDIT : just re-read posts and realised you have tried a different psu, maybe that means Jtag I'm not sure as its something I'm unfamiliar with Last edited by smoggy; 05-11-09 at 07:39 PM. |

Alvin its definately c14 ,change it to a 1000uf 16vw ,10 pence or so. When you look at it there will be a slight swelling on the top of it it is leaky ie passing a small current it will not be splattered all over the place.
all the best Greenbones |
