Hi Guys, any ideas when the new update for the sa8300 is out for pure, i live near doncaster guys. heared that the new update will sort out the box from booting all the time, also what is the name (number) of the update in settings in the box... Cheers people...

wat u mean m8 ..im in pure NOTTS (just down the road from u) & mine hasent re-booted @ all,, i havent cut the tb.just useing a 50d return path blocker ? that might b ur prob ....o.k in my settings ..tech stuff page.4/8 it says........... HW Version: 1.7 / SW Version 3.2.8.1 / Build: 20061013 , see if urs are the same & let us know m8 wil see if we have the same ! (mines showning the same as my sisters SUBBED BOX)

You shouldn't really be going into the EM on a subbed box mate. Everything you do on an STB is logged and if the CC ever check it, they will get suspicious and start asking questions

all my details on my box are the same as your details Nvidia. a few weeks ago i hered on this forum that there is a new firmware been distributed to the sa8300 and that it should stop the box from rebooting, as far as i know the update has hit Leeds. Ever since i got this box ir reboots at least once a day. i moved my return path blocker as far away from my box as possible and the box seem'd to not reboot as much. but only had the box on for a couple of hours each day..

HHMM,, I rearly dont no m8 , its astrange 1, i herd afew people saying thers re-boots as well! ....& mines never done it yet, +have it on most of the day as well(my blocker is straight onto the box?), & all SW & HW are the same !!! hmmmm , it sounds to me like a power prob,but just guessing ?? iv herd also check 4 bends in ur cable,( is it a mosc card ur useing??) other than that m8 i cant help u ....mybe somebody can shed some light on this ?????? as im inerested as to why some do it & some dont

hhmm, we need the tec experts ! help lol., in the normal menu what does .................Reboot Power cycle,/ Reboot -TDT Recived, /& DOCSIS Failed initial range, ............all mean ...! cos on pages 8/8, 7/8, 6/8, 5/8, this all what mine says ........are threse something to do with the re-booting issue ???? (mines NOT re-booted @ all) but othere are any1 know why ??? thanks

thanks G77, so about some boxes rebooting & some not what would u say the prob is ......older/newer boxes ??? is "Reboot Power cycle " anything to do with it ..ty
