Okay, sounds like one particular member continues to have problems with the fact that he expects to have a thread on TW dedicated to supporting his own team, but other teams can't be discussed.
No, not harry_bham - he never made those complaints nor received those messages, but instead seems to be covering for that member. Who sent a string of "report post" notifications last night, starting with the fact someone mentioned the Fulham game, sent PM's complaining about it, and now has someone else to publicly question the mods on his behalf. The team supporter threads are obviously proving divisive. Specifically with less than a handful of members having real problems discussing football matters without getting abusive or defensive. And additionally abusing the forum reporting features to complain about football issues, rather than spam, attacks, disruptive behaviour, or similar issues that seriously demand mod attention. We can dedicate the Footie Chat board to discussing individual games and issues, but obviously team supporter threads keep causing problems - so for the time being, they will not be allowed. Therefore I'm closing both the Rafa and Man U threads, and will remove any attempts to continue them. Any further attempts to bait in other threads will also be removed. We're a tech site site, so if anyone wants to set up partisan discussions on any team, do so on a dedicated football website forum. In the meantime, this matter is closed, and I'm not going to discuss it further. |
