Default How to erase a MOSC and write a new image

As of now both my pace boxes are down because of funcards in them not coping with the new 3.7 software rollup. So I need to do MOSCs for them. Never done a MOSC before, so need some direction.

A have few old ntl rom 11 and rom 10 cards lying around. I don’t need any info from these cards i.e bk or ird. So

1.Can I erase those cards without unlooping them?

2.Which program and how do I do it?

Thanx in advance.

You dont actually erase a rom card like a fun, you need to read it then you write a fresh image to it, try reading them first to see if any are not locked, if you have a B09 for instance you can use A3E/B09 dc2 patch in nagra edit 4.1, otherwise they will probably need an unlooper, it depends on the revision.

After reading the card in nagraedit, this is what i get :

Opening of COM1 was successful
ATR String: 3F FF 95 00 FF xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx
30 31 31 20 52 65 76 42 30 44 3C
ROM Revision: 011
EEPROM Revision: RevB0D
ProviderID: 00
CamID: 00 00 00 00
Using BD3 Key: 4E 69 70 50 45 72 20 49 73 20 61 20 62 75 54 74
Attempting to login to BD3
BD3 login failed
Reading ROM11 failed
Closing of COM1 was successful

Does it need unlooping?

Good news is that I have both the powersync and the dual unlooper.
Bad news is that I don’t know how to use them.
I have tried once setting the VCC but couldn’t get it to work. So I gave up after few tries.
What is the VCC suppose to be for Rom 11? VCC ceiling/ floor.

Can I write an image to this card?

So which image should I use? I am in ex C&W area.

What do I need to alter in the image.

Cam id ( Do all the cam ids have to match? )

You certainly can mate and you need an Ex C&W ROM10 MOSC image. As for the CAM ID, it always starts with 27 for Ex C&W and you use numbers 0-9 and letters A-F. E.g 27 AB CD EF.

Dont change begin date just rights and expiry if needed, all 3 cam id the same.
Read card then click on open card image top left and load image, click on data editor and edit in details ird ,bk etc, then write.
