desolder faulty one, solder in new one. good luck!

there has been talk of bypassing the rear tuner and going straight into the tuner in the middle of the board with the coax

bypassing the rear tuner isnt. if that dont work, changing tuner would be pretty hard i gues syeah

it is hard to change you need a rework station but try firstly wot g77 says and put your feed direct to the secondary tuner can

you need a bit more then a rework, i'd say a propper heat gun

m8 dont bother soldering e new 1 in ..............just drill a hole in back of ur //box ....& bypass the 1'st tuner, & put ur feed straight to the 2nd tuner inside the box .....iv done it a few times works great ....the 1'st tuner is only 4 talkback !

What do you mean "for talkback"? The tuner has nothing to do with talkback, it's the caps inside the box that enable/disable talkback dependinng on if they have been removed or not. Unless you mean the external tuner is used for connecting a 50dB noise filter?

If you bypass the 1st tuner it seems to stop tb, some people have tried it and confirmed although you probably wouldnt do that normally.
